Forum: SU-8 Photoresist Discussion Forum

Hi,

I have been trying to search the web for information about SU-8 biocompatibility.

Is SU-8 biocompatible?

Does anyone know of SU-8 medical applications?

Thanks, Yoel

Hello Yoel,

No. SU-8 is not a biocompatible material. We had horrible troubles of forcing cells to grow on patterened SU-8. We, however, found a way for make cells grow on SU-8, but the proliferation was far more worse than on PMMA, for instance.
