Sporian is currently
developing a ceramic micro-fabrication technology for use in a number of
high temperature MEMS and micro-sensor products, capable of operation in
highly
caustic environments at above
1000 degrees Celsius. This
technology takes advantage of the material properties of a class of ceramic
materials that exhibit highly advantageous material properties while utilizing
proven mass-manufacturing techniques that facilitate small size and low cost
realization.
One product Sporian is
currently targeting is the essential temperature and pressure sensors for the
energy generation industry systems, such as gas turbine applications, where
ultra high temperature environments are common. In addition to having a higher
operational temperature range than existing comparable sensor products,
Sporian’s sensors have a significant size, lifetime, and cost advantage. |
