Sporian Presenting / Exhibiting at NATO & IEEE Conferences in October

LAFAYETTE, COLORADO, 13 OCTOBER 2008. Brian Schaible of Sporian Microsystems, Inc. is making an invited presentation on wireless sensor networks for munitions health management at the Applied Vehicle Technology-160 symposium in Montreal. In addition to the presentation, Dr. Schaible will provide a live demonstration of Sporian's AssetOverseer®-WSN. Sporian is also exhibiting its family of sensors and sensor networks at Prognostic Health Management '08 in Denver; in addition to exhibiting, Dr. Mike Usrey of Sporian is serving as a referee for papers submitted for the technical program at PHM08. Sporian's sensors are designed to deliver state of the art functionality while providing small, light weight, low cost, portable, low power operation.

The NATO Research & Technology Organization organized the multi-day ATV-160 event to allow collaboration between experts in the fields of sensor development and integration, data gathering methodologies, and munitions development.

Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) is a systems engineering discipline focusing on detection, prediction, and management of the health and status of complex engineered systems. The IEEE Reliability Society is sponsoring PHM08, the first international forum dedicated to this emerging discipline, to bring together experts from industry, academia, and government in diverse application areas such as aerospace, transportation, automotive, energy, and industrial automation.
